I Ffynnon Llanwenfrewy

Manuscripts

This poem survives in one manuscript only, namely NLW 552B. According to RepWM, this poem is the first of three englynion to St Winefride’s Well by three different poets that were copied by one hand on f. 122r (the others are poems 29 and 33). The scribe may have been the poet who composed the last englyn, Huw Madog, who lived during the first half of the seventeenth century.
